The below was an earlier sketch piece that i hadn't involved into my blog until now. Just including some more initial ideas, and looking aty webbing.
In my turn around image i have involved a rucksack. I have now decided not to bring this into the character model, as it is part of the soldiers inventory, that wouldnt be needed in a close combat situation (which i'm looking for). I will still use webbing, and other pouches situated around the body. the three sided view of the initial proposal of the soldier, does have a rucksack, but this can be easily modified later on after i've created a storyboard and gained some environmental designs.
